McHenry’s Crossing
Opening in November, 2014, McHenry’s Crossing is the name of the building that will offer 102 new apartment homes at Wind Crest. The name ‘McHenry’ comes from a mountain peak in Rocky Mountain National Park and is named after a mathematics professor at a college in Indiana who frequented the mountain with his family in the late 1890’s. This building will bring housing and community space together. With a 90-seat restaurant (appropriately named The Windows for its views of downtown Denver and the historic High Line Canal), fitness center, café, classroom space and movie theater, McHenry’s Crossing will bring many new people to experience the Wind Crest lifestyle. Now at 99% occupancy, Wind Crest serves as the most popular retirement destination in Colorado and is home to over 800 residents. With an on-site medical center with our own board certified physicians to over 100 clubs and organizations to our state-of-the-art continuing care neighborhood, Wind Crest welcomes many more people to our wonderful new building!
