Grist Brewing Co. 2nd Anniversary Party

The time is here again for our anniversary party!!! Grist turning two means that were doing this two times as big this year to celebrate. We had such a great time last year, that this year we knew we had to go above and beyond to beat it!

For starters, just like we did last year we will be announcing the winner of our 2nd annuall home brew competetion. Last years winners had a blast getting to brew 10 barrels of their recipe on a commercial system. We will be announcing the winner of the comp at six o'clock that day, and the last day to enter is this Friday 10/17. So if you have an entry into the comp, if possible we'd love to have you there so when we do announce the winner we can celebrate with you and present you with the award. 

Second, we know that you've gotta have food to go with you brews so you can drink all day! For the party we will have two food trucks here cooking up delicious grub to fill your bellys with. We were lucky enough to get the guys from ChurnandBurn, and Jessie's Smokin' NOLA to come down and celebrate with us!! These guys will be here all day as well for your convrnience. 

Next, the BEER!!! On top of having our eleven brew on tap, we will be doing a specialty tapping of a beer every hour on the hour until eight o'clock that night. We will be re-releasing brews that we had on tap over the past year. So if you had a favorite, check the time sheet to see which brew you want to be here for. The list will be posted to the event page. We will also be releasing our extremely limited seasonal Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout! This baby has been aging beautifully in whiskey barrels for ten months now and is ready to be enjoyed. We will only have one keg of this on tap the night of the party, but we will be releasing in it bottles as well that you are welcome to buy plenty of to take home with you. Our Russian Imperial won't be the only bottle release we do that night. Nope, we saved 4 cases of Virgil's Reserve that we will be selling individual bottles of (2 bottle limit per person, first come first serve) all day long as well. This brew is a French Cabernet barrel aged version of our 3rd Ring Belgian Strong. This beer was a big hit so get those bottles quick! 

Prizes and raffles!!! We will be giving away prizes to all of our raffle winners on the night of the party. How to play?!? All you need to do is purchase the specialty tapping beer that we put on every hour, and hold on to your raffle ticket until the winners are announced through out the night. Participants must be present when we announce the winners. Prizes will consist of everything from hats, shirts, glassware, growler fills, tin tackers, free pints, party packs, and coasters. Perfect shwag for you to get gristed in!!  

Attention beer nerds and homebrewers!!! On the night of the party we will have all access to the brew house with our own head brewer Rob and asst. brewer Tyler back there to answer any question you may have. These geeks will be ready for you to pick their brains and talk craft brew with you. Come look at the brew system, see our science lab, and gain the knowledge that your looking for to perfect your homebrew recipe. 

For the anniversary party we will also have tents with vendors in the parking lot selling cool beer accessories, and promoting there business as well. 

This party is going to be one that you are not going to wanna miss!! Great beer, awesome food, and happy people make for the perfect way to spend your Saturday. So come down and join us on November 7th to celebrate Grist turning two!
