DESCRIPTION:The Chamber's Officially Business is a series of briefings hosted by the Chamber throughout the year. Meet and hear from elected officials at the local\, state and federal levels. Ample time is given for questions and answers. \n\n\n\nOur guest speaker for June will be District Attorney\, George Brauchler. Mr. Brauchler became District Attorney of the 18th Judicial District on Jan. 7\, 2013. He was sworn in for his second term Jan. 10\, 2017. Mr. Brauchler is an experienced prosecutor and civil trial attorney\, national speaker and JAG officer. He brings a new vision to the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office with a focus on modernization\, efficiency and community safety.\n\n\n\nMr. Brauchler began his career in 1995 at the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office where he prosecuted domestic violence\, homicide\, larceny and narcotics cases and most notably the only two felonies arising out of the Columbine High School shootings. More recently he prosecuted the Aurora Theater Shooting case. \n\n\n\nThe District Attorney is a colonel in the Colorado Army National Guard and has served his country in the JAG corps since 1996. In 2011\, he saw active duty as chief of military justice for the 4th Infantry Division\, US Division-North\, Task Force Ironhorse in Tikrit\, Iraq.\n\n\n\nMr. Brauchler worked in private practice 2008-2010 and from 2011 until December 2012\, during which time he handled complex civil litigation and represented veterans.
