He was first elected to Congress on \n\nNovember 4\, 2014\, and is currently serving his first \n\nterm in the United States House of Representatives. \n\nKen Buck represents Roxborough and Sterling \n\nRanch\, as well as other areas of Douglas County.\n\nKen serves on the House Judiciary Committee and \n\nthe House Committee on Oversight and \n\nGovernment Reform. He serves on the OGR \n\nSubcommittees on Government Operations and the \n\nInterior and is a member of the Judiciary \n\nSubcommittees on Immigration and Border Security \n\nand Crime\, Terrorism\, Homeland Security and \n\nInvestigations.\n\nAfter law school\, Ken worked for Congressman Dick \n\nCheney (R-WY) on the Iran-Contra Investigation \n\nand then became a prosecutor with the U.S. \n\nDepartment of Justice. In 1990 Ken joined the \n\nColorado U.S. Attorney's Office where he became \n\nthe Chief of the Criminal Division.\n\nIn 2002 Ken joined Hensel Phelps Construction Co. \n\nin Greeley as a business executive.\n\nStarting in 2004 Ken Buck was elected Weld County \n\nDistrict Attorney three times by large margins. He \n\nled a staff of more than sixty people with a strong \n\nrecord of criminal prosecution and crime prevention. Under Ken's leadership\, the crime rate in Weld \n\nCounty dropped 50%\, one of the best records in \n\nthe country.
