DESCRIPTION:Join us for Coffee with Corey \n\nDouglas County Schools Superintendent \n\nEvent sponsored by Sterling Ranch\n\nCorey Wise\n\nCorey Wise is a career educator who began his journey right here in the Douglas County School District (DCSD). Mr. Wise is in his 26th year in DCSD. He started as a student teacher\, then social studies teacher at Ponderosa High School. Mr. Wise taught at Chaparral High School beginning in the school's first year\, and later served as Chaparral's Assistant Principal. In 2007\, Mr. Wise was hired as the Founding Principal of Legend High School where he served for seven years before moving into DCSD Central Administration as a Director of High Schools and most recently as Executive Director of Schools for the East Highlands Ranch Region and Alternative Education.\n\n\n\nMr. Wise is a long-time resident of Douglas County\, and a Colorado native. His parents were teachers and he knew from a young age that he wanted to teach and serve in education. He and his wife have two children - one is a DCSD graduate and the other is a current DCSD student.\n\n\n\nMr. Wise earned his B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado in Social Science and started his M.A. at UNC in Special Education - Severe Cognitive before switching and earning his M.A. in Education Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix.\nCoffee\, pastries and specialty coffees will be provided\n\n\n\nPre-Registration is requested.  The deadline to register is 12:00 pm on the Wednesday October 13th.
